PROMAN Staffing has partnered with a well-known logistics company located in Grayslake, IL We are now hiring Shipping and Receiving Associates who are team players, versatile, and dependable! Monday•Friday 9:30 AM•6:00
PM Pay:
$23•$25 BOE Sit down and Stand•up forklift experience required
Job Summary:
For this position, we are looking for more receiving experience (3-5 years), dock to stock, computer experience with an ERP such as Microsoft's Business Central, incoming material inspection and matching PO's. Forklift experience and Ability to read and write in English. The Receiving Clerk receives and inspects incoming materials insuring accurate inventories for both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
Count and inspect incoming materials and put material in their designated locations by: Maintain a clean and safe work environment Other duties as assigned Take basic measurements to verify against Packing Slip and Business Central item description. Count and/or weigh quantities to verify against packing slip Obtain/review material certifications as required by inspection plans. Verify material certificates to Harger specs Record data, scan documents as needed for manufacturing and quality. For Enterprise Critical items, notify Quality Inspector with additional inspection requirements. Receive approved product into Business Central. Load and unload trucks daily and in a timely manner Assist manufacturing in getting materials ready for outside processes such as plating and oxidizing. Receive and log RMR's timely. Work directly with the Sales Manager on discrepancies. Prepare the monthly scrap report for the Plant Manager to transmit. Notify Purchasing and Quality departments, in a timely manner, of any discrepancies on incoming products. Maintain the cardboard aisle to ensure that it is clean and organized. Maintain the outside fenced area; Keep it clean and organized outside, label materials, remove snow and spread salt as needed. Assist with bringing in skids for manufacturing. Empty the cardboard compactor when needed. Promptly communicate with different departments via email or verbally to keep them appraised of receivables. Assist Shipping with shipping tasks as needed. Communicate with department Manager on all issues related to discrepancies on incoming shipments and receipts. Move heavy material as needed and engage a nearby team member to assist with the heavier items.
Skills:
Excellent communication skills, written and oral. Basic Math skills. Ability to work with little supervision after training. Work in a team environment. Attention to detail. Strong organizational skills. 3-5 years' experience working in receiving environment, including 2-5 years' experience with sit down/stand up forklift. Knowledge of inventory control Understanding of basic computer functions. Continuous standing, moving and reaching with arms and hands. Frequently walks, bends, lifts and carry items. Periodically going up and down ladders. Occasionally lifts and/or moves over 50 lbs.

$23.00•$25.00 per hour
