Job Summary:
Forklift (sit down & stand up) and pallet jack experience, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, understanding of FIFO inventory method, able to read and write in English, some exp in a warehouse shipping environment. The Expeditor will move material to / from the Shipping Department from the different cells throughout the shop.
Responsibilities:
Move finished material from the cells to the shipping area using equipment such as forklift, carts, and pallet jacks. Audit finished production orders brought to Shipping. Review and ensure that the quantities and labels match the production order. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Keep files and documents organized and filed correctly. Rotate materials through the racking system (FIFO) Organize and straighten up shelves daily. Relocate or assign shelf locations to new items. Other duties as assigned. Put away materials for stock into designated location. Stage materials made for orders for the Shipping area. Perform shipping clerk responsibilities as necessary to meet on-time delivery standards.
Skills:
Excellent communication skills, written and oral Basic Math skills Previous experience operating a stand-up and sit-down fork lift. Ability to work with little supervision after training. Ability to work in a team environment and be a Team Player Detail oriented. Ability to read and understand documents written in English. Good organizational skills Understanding of basic computer functions. Continuous standing, moving and reaching with arms and hands. Frequently walks, bends, lifts and carries items. Periodically going up and down ladders. Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.
