ECHO Incorporated is looking for a Receiving Clerk to join our expanding team. This role is responsible for gathering data, reporting daily receiving activities, supporting key performance indicators (KPIs), and organizing daily inbound documentation. 1st Shift Monday-Friday 6:00am - 2:15pm Starting at $17.50/HR! Duties/Responsibilities:
Greet and check in drivers and assign dock doors. Unload inbound domestic and international trucks and containers. Load and unload transfer trucks. Verify incoming shipments against packing lists. Receive inventory accurately using warehouse management systems. Confirm receiving transactions through company systems. Maintain proper storage and organization of received inventory. Use the ticketing system to report damaged items. Maintain inventory accuracy in all receiving locations. Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies. Coordinate with internal departments to support operational flow. Assist with general warehouse activities as needed. Collect, track, and report daily receiving and material handling KPIs. Sort, count, and record inbound bills and submit daily totals. Scan and archive packing lists for accounting purposes. Process and distribute daily UPS and FedEx packages. Enter inbound purchase orders into warehouse systems. Retrieve ASN numbers and manage receiving storage locations. Schedule inbound freight deliveries and truckload appointments. Support customer service by gathering information needed for credit memos on returned products. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment. Minimum 1 year of forklift experience. Strong computer skills and ability to learn warehouse systems. Experience operating sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Ability to safely operate powered industrial vehicles. Ability to work extended hours during peak production periods. Ability to work in a warehouse environment for the duration of the shift.
Work Environment:
Overtime required based on business needs. Occasional Saturday work may be required. Warehouse environment with moving equipment, varying temperatures, and moderate noise levels.
