Midwest is looking for Shipping and Receiving Associate who will support the growth of our entrepreneurial business serving multiple domestic and international airlines. The Shipping and Receiving Associate will deliver excellence when inspecting incoming shipments of components and final inspection for outgoing products for a diverse group of aircraft parts as required by our clients. We expect our associates to solve problems with accuracy, attention to detail, dedication, hard work, and continual growth and improvement. The Company Midwest Aero Support provides quality repair and electronic manufacturing services for commercial aircraft for companies worldwide. Centrally located just 70 miles northwest of O'Hare International Airport in Machesney Park, Illinois, Midwest Aero Support occupies a state-of-the-art 45,000 square foot facility that is fully capable of handling just about any repair or manufacturing project. We're proud to partner with over 60 airlines and dozens of other clients worldwide. We pride ourselves on the quality of our work which meets or exceeds our clients' needs. The Role The Shipping and Receiving Associate is a full-time role responsible for safe, efficient and high-quality repair and manufacturing work. We are hiring for first shift. The role is located at the Company's facility in Machesney Park, IL. The role does not require prior experience in an aerospace environment, but does require 2 years of solid work experience in product receiving and processing, and an eagerness to learn, a disciplined work ethic, and attention to detail. The Person The Shipping and Receiving Associate will be a team player with high-energy, great attention, and a strong desire to help the company achieve best-practice performance in maintenance and repair operations management. Integrity, honesty, trustworthiness and self-discipline are essential character traits. Experience in data entry, knowledge of Microsoft products and forklift experience required.
NOTE:
The Company's warehouse, vehicles and operations are alcohol and drug-free, employees are subject to pre-employment and random drug screens, and candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The Shipping and Receiving Associate will report to the Shop Supervisor and will be responsible to: Receive incoming shipments of components, products and parts and ensure paperwork is including Inspect received products for accuracy and shipping damage Load and unload shipments as needed Identify, tag and label equipment and route to correct area. Make necessary entries as needed. Appropriately pack and prepare products for outgoing domestic and international shipments Assist with inventory and cycle counting as directed. •
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent 2+ Years experience in product receiving and processing • Skills preferred: Forklift certification
