Job Description

Description:
Hours:
Monday - Friday, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM (20 hours/week)
Classification:
Part-Time, Non-Exempt, Hourly Wage:
$16.00 an hour Position Summary The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving incoming materials, entering them into the inventory management system, and ensuring materials are properly put away in their designated locations. This role supports inventory accuracy and production readiness by maintaining clean records and an organized warehouse, directly impacting on-time job delivery for Interstate Graphics' large format and screen-printing operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments; verify quantities, item numbers, and condition against packing slips and purchase orders. Enter received materials accurately into the inventory management system, including lot numbers, roll counts, and dimensions where applicable. Identify, label, and put away materials in their correct warehouse locations (substrates, inks, screen printing supplies, finishing materials, etc.). Flag discrepancies, damaged goods, or short shipments to the Operations Manager and assist with vendor follow-up. Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory, and ongoing inventory control activities. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area and warehouse environment. Communicate with production and purchasing teams regarding incoming materials and stock status. Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Prior receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred; printing or manufacturing environment a plus. Basic computer skills; ability to learn and accurately use an inventory or ERP system. Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers, part numbers, and counts. Ability to read and follow packing slips, POs, and written instructions. Dependable, self-directed, and able to manage time within a 4-hour daily window. Pallet jack experience preferred; forklift certification a plus (or willingness to be trained). Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly; occasionally up to 75 lbs with assistance. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift. Ability to handle rolls of substrate and bulk material containers. Work performed primarily in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures. Success in This Role Looks Like Inventory records match physical stock — receiving entries are timely and accurate. Materials are put away the same day they're received, in their correct locations. Production is never delayed because incoming materials weren't logged or located. Discrepancies are caught and reported, not buried. Interstate Graphics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
