Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support our operations team. This position is responsible for accurately processing incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing shipping documentation, entering data into our system, and ensuring proper coordination between production, quality, and customers. This role focuses on the administrative and documentation side of shipping and receiving while collaborating closely with the Hi-Lo Operator for material movement. Key ResponsibilitiesShipping Documentation & Data Entry Enter customer and part information from Purchase Orders into the system Generate incoming documentation including customer name, PO number, plating type, thickness, and container details Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and required outgoing paperwork Update customer information in shipping logs and internal systems Customer Service & Communication Respond to phone calls and customer emails professionally Direct inquiries to appropriate departments Communicate with Lead Operators to confirm shipment readiness and scheduling Shipping & Receiving Coordination Tag incoming products for identification and traceability Coordinate with Quality regarding skip-lot inspections and workflow review Assist with preparing shipments (counting, packaging, organizing documentation) Support receiving activities and ensure materials are properly logged and stored Collaborative Support Work with Hi-Lo Operator to coordinate loading and unloading Assist with inventory organization and maintain clean, organized workspaces Perform additional clerical and administrative duties as assigned Safety & Compliance Follow all safety procedures related to shipping and receiving Maintain a clean and organized work area Support a safe and efficient working environment Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Previous experience in shipping and receiving preferred Strong computer skills and ability to work in data systems Hi-Lo license (must obtain through company if required) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication skills What We Offer Competitive pay Full benefits package Paid time off 401(k) with company match Stable, team-oriented work environment Growth opportunities within operations If you are organized, detail-driven, and enjoy supporting operational flow, we encourage you to apply.
