Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is hiring a Grain Receiving Clerk Assistant for a local agricultural production facility in the Marion, Indiana area. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working with customers, farmers, truck drivers, and plant personnel. This position combines clerical responsibilities with hands-on duties related to receiving, weighing, testing, and documenting incoming and outgoing materials. Responsibilities Grade, weigh, and measure incoming and outgoing materials. Verify information against bills of lading, invoices, and customer tickets. Perform general clerical duties including answering phones, mailing, sorting, printing, and filing. Complete daily opening and closing procedures. Prepare the probe for daily use. Maintain radio communication with load-out personnel regarding traffic direction. Provide professional and courteous customer service. Build positive working relationships with farmers and truck drivers. Complete toxin testing as needed. Maintain accurate and detailed customer tickets. Assist with groundskeeping and general plant cleanliness. Follow and enforce all established safety procedures. Work cooperatively with plant employees in a team environment. Follow food safety, sanitation, GMP, HACCP, and quality procedures. Report food safety, quality, maintenance, or equipment concerns to appropriate management. Perform production and quality checks as assigned. Help identify and prevent food safety and product quality issues. Be available to work overtime during harvest season. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Related experience and/or training preferred. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative. Strong customer service and communication skills. Professional and pleasant telephone manner. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Proficiency with Microsoft applications. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to frequently: Stand and walk. Use hands to perform job duties. Climb stairs. Reach and bend. Push and pull. Lift and/or move up to 42 pounds . Work Environment This position is performed in an agricultural/production environment and may include exposure to: Moving mechanical equipment Heat and cold Humidity Noise Vibration Candidates should be comfortable working in both office and production-related areas.
