Job Description
Shipping and Receiving Associate responsible for handling incoming and outgoing materials, maintaining shipment records, supporting inventory activities, and assisting manufacturing or distribution operations. Job Requirements Experience with shipping and receiving processes Experience using computer systems for tracking, logging, verification, and reporting Knowledge of shipping practices, transportation routing, schedules, and documentation Experience verifying material quantities, weights, and identification Experience processing freight bills, packing slips, bills of lading, and related shipping documents Experience with inventory control and material storage processes Ability to perform packing, unpacking, wrapping, and unwrapping of materials and products Preferred Skills Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution center environment Experience supporting production or processing operations Experience operating automatic or semiautomatic production equipment Experience with material handling and product distribution Experience with inventory tracking systems Job Responsibilities Perform shipping and receiving activities for incoming and outgoing materials Receive, inspect, verify, and document incoming materials Prepare finished products, raw materials, assemblies, parts, equipment, and supplies for shipment Pack, unpack, wrap, and unwrap materials as required Verify quantities, weights, and material identification Enter receipt and shipment information into applicable computer systems Process freight bills, packing sheets, bills of lading, and related documentation Record shipping weights and applicable shipping charges Route materials and merchandise to designated locations Support inventory control and storage activities Support manufacturing and distribution operations, including assembly, processing, packaging, and material movement Set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic equipment when required Report equipment malfunctions and production abnormalities Support warehouse and distribution center operations as assigned
