Shipping and Receiving Clerk

A shipping clerk handles the shipping process to ensure that products are scheduled and shipped to the customers in the appropriate timeframe and with the correct freight carrier. This includes scheduling and wrapping orders to prepare them for shipping, loading the trucks and utilizing SAP to print orders for the RTS order pullers as well as printing the truckers paperwork.
Duties and Responsibilities
Use of a stand up forklift
Ability to use micrometers
Use of a wrapping machine
Heavy use of technology including SAP
Mechanically inclined decision making
Strong attention to detail and quality
Self sufficiency
Working off-shift
Qualifications
Ability to read, write and understand job documentation
Physical coordination to lift and move product
Trainable with fork lift truck and overhead crane
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Written and oral communication skills with attention to detail
Ability to be trained in all electronic shipping/receiving and electronic communications software pertaining to the position
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and vendors
Ability to handle quality inspections
Ability to create shipments in XPPS - including BOL, packing slips, stock transfers, label corrections
Ability to assemble and send ASN's to customers
Ability to receive material in XPPS
Ability to do cycle/inventory counts and keep records for controlling/inventory purposes
Ability to obtain CDL license and drive tractor trailer as needed
Insurability and acceptable driving record
Ability to load/unload and secure truckloads per DOT requirements as required
Ability to keep accurate shift logs as required - including data for Shipping/Receiving KPIs, pallet usage, load times, etc
