Position Summary As a Shipping Clerk, you'll play a key role in delivering excellent customer service by ensuring orders are packed, labeled, and shipped accurately and on time. This position supports both domestic and international shipments and helps maintain a smooth, efficient warehouse operation.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm What You'll Do Operate UPS, FedEx, and other carrier systems to process outgoing shipments Prepare and verify proper documentation for freight carriers and customs requirements Accurately enter tracking numbers and freight charges in SAP Request Proof of Delivery (POD) and support Customer Service with shipment follow-up Pack orders as needed and ensure proper labeling Inspect all outgoing packages to verify accuracy and quality Keep detailed records of shipped materials Perform daily end-of-day closing tasks for shipping operations Order and maintain shipping supplies Contact freight companies to schedule pickups and request rate quotes Keep your workspace clean and organized using 5S principles Participate in daily Shop Floor Management meetings and continuous improvement initiatives Support warehouse teammates as needed Work Environment & Physical Requirements Standing for extended periods in a warehouse setting Frequent lifting of 5-20 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs Moderate noise level with occasional changes in temperature Why Join Balluff?
