A Shipping or Receiving Clerk tracks all incoming and/or outgoing shipments at a company facility and checks that shipment orders are filled correctly. Uses scanning equipment to track inventory. Works in receiving to check shipments that are primarily production materials or company supplies, or checks outgoing shipments of finished products.

Job Description

The primary responsibilities of this role are these: Pick/Pack/Load all types of orders including
LTL, LTL
special handling, and International. Print BOLs, Customs Invoices, Transfer Orders, and labels for air and ocean shipments Print LTL special handling paperwork Communicate with LTL carriers to arrange freight Process LTL special handling orders through customer websites Maintain operating supplies File and organize all Intl/LTL department documents Operate an order picker, reach truck, and dock stocker As time permits, assist the lead and the supervisor with these tasks: Post shipments & deliveries Collect equipment checklist Trouble shoot pick/pack issues Create, print, and post shipments Print LTL transfer orders, and reprint when necessary Calculate and post productivity data Create end-of-day reports Communicate with Louisville customer service Audit compliance to processes
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
High School Diploma OR GED required. Associate Degree preferred. 6 months of distribution or manufacturing experience. Experience with Lean Manufacturing initiatives preferred.
REQUIRED INTERPERSONAL & BEHAVIORAL SKILLS

Pay Details:
