Job Description

Dock Coordinator

ABOUT THE ROLE
Westport Linen Services is a healthcare-accredited commercial laundry operation serving hospitals and medical facilities across Louisiana. We're looking for a detail-oriented Dock Coordinator to keep our outbound linen operation running clean, accurate, and on time.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and disinfected dock area
  • Scan, verify, and log order information in our inventory system
  • Inspect carts for defects, damaged wheels, contamination, or missing labels — reject anything that doesn't meet standard
  • Apply replacement barcodes to carts as needed
  • Move completed carts to designated areas or load onto the appropriate vehicle
  • Secure truck loads prior to departure
  • Print and distribute manifests and delivery receipts to drivers
  • Coordinate with maintenance and janitorial staff for truck cleaning and fogging upon return
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or dock operations preferred
  • Sharp attention to detail — accuracy in order verification is critical in a healthcare environment
  • Forklift operation ability (certification a plus)
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and able to stay focused in a fast-paced setting
