On-site Position Summary The Receiving and Stores Clerk_TFR performs duties required in receiving, storing, and maintaining records on component parts. Responsible for counting, checking, and issuing material and components to the production floor. Upon receipt of material, verifies all ASME related documents have been supplied. Prepares ASME receiving packet including certifications, MTR's and packing slip and forwards to Quality Control. Notifies supervisor of any missing paperwork, material damage or irregularities.
Measures of success:
Processes all receipts with 24 hours of arrival Prompt delivery of requested material to production floor. Completion of all cycle count activities on time and at stated accuracy goal. Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Responsible for selecting and maintaining location of raw materials. Opens crates with crowbar. Breaks down empty crates for disposal. Picks parts from preprinted pick lists and issue slips. Contacts planner and/or supervisor if shortage occurs. Uses scanner for move transactions and computer terminal to enter transactions into ERP system and communicate via email. Responsible to constantly monitor the Material Request Que and deliver components to the proper production worker. Performs a variety of routine duties involved in shipping of merchandise. This includes but is not limited to accurately selecting, checking and packing merchandise for customer orders; weighing shipments, sealing cartons, applying labels, addresses, and packing slips, and loading merchandise onto trucks, flatbeds and containers. Operates, Tablet, computer, scanner, and material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, electrical hand trucks, pallet jacks and stepladder to reach material. Uses crowbar and mallet for crates. Must have all necessary certifications for use of material handling equipment. Carries out proper verification methods as part of the cycle count program. Frequently moves average weight materials (over 5 lbs. and up to 60 lbs.) as necessary in the performance of the job or as directed. Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to supervisor. Responsible for filling, Kan-Ban and bread box systems etc. throughout the Facility. Responsible for monitoring and replying to emails. The ability to develop basic spreadsheets when necessary. Maintains electric truck and fork truck in good operating condition. Maintains prescribed water level in batteries and plugs in for overnight re-charge. Maintains necessary records. Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
Qualifications Required:
High School diploma or equivalent 5+ year of experience in a production environment, preferably as a material handler. Follows verbal and written instructions. Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Requires judgment to comply with instructions, prescribed routines, methods, and practices. Repetitive work requiring constant alertness or activity. Work Environment This position works primarily in a production floor environment where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas. On-site - This position reports into the site every day.
