A Shipping or Receiving Clerk tracks all incoming and/or outgoing shipments at a company facility and checks that shipment orders are filled correctly. Uses scanning equipment to track inventory. Works in receiving to check shipments that are primarily production materials or company supplies, or checks outgoing shipments of finished products.

Job Description

Job Summary:
Data entry, shipping and general operational duties of the online sales business.
Essential Functions:
Be able to read descriptions in detail. Find merchandise from inventory based on description form; include name, size, description, and weight. Recommends items for auction, prices, and descriptions based on research and as applicable. Pull all sold orders. Properly package each item. Determines best method of shipping and shipping fees. Complete shipping following UPS, FedEx or USPS guidelines. Monitor packing supplies. Monitor completion of daily shipments. Follow through on any UPS, FedEx or USPS tracking as needed. Works one on one with persons in services to teach job tasks as assigned. Maintains regular and predictable attendance. Performs all other duties as assigned and trained.

Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic computer experience on Windows Based software..
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have effective writing skills, good grammar and use proper English. Must be able to work independently while promoting a team concept and be flexible in a multi-duty environment, and utilize detail and organizational skills.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds, walking or standing the for the entire shift, involves most of the time in an warehouse environment occasionally exposed to extreme temperatures, noise, fumes, dust, etc.
