Shipping Clerk / Kit Builder Job Description As a Shipping Clerk / Kit Builder, you will be responsible for assembling various kits comprising bolts, brackets, gaskets, washers, and work instructions. You will receive 50 labeled containers, part boxes, and detailed work instructions to guide you on the number of pieces required for each kit. This position involves straightforward tasks that are easy to perform. Responsibilities Inspect products for defects or damages before and during packaging. Operate packaging machinery and equipment safely. Measure, weigh, and count products and materials accurately. Package finished products into boxes, containers, or pallets. Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools. Label packages with correct identification and shipping information. Essential Skills Ability to follow work instructions accurately. Basic math skills. Stable recent work history. Experience in assembly and shipping/receiving. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must pass a hand dexterity test. Must have a stable recent work history (no frequent job changes). Why Work Here? Work Environment The facility is very organized, well-maintained, and clean, providing a well-lit atmosphere. Employees work at standing workstations designed for easy workflow. The position requires working every other Saturday, with opportunities to volunteer for additional overtime shifts. The first shift runs from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, and the second shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Burton, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
