Full-Time Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk with strong computer skills and hands-on experience in shipping/receiving operations. The ideal candidate will also be experienced in operating a hi-lo (forklift) and capable of handling daily logistics tasks in a fast-paced environment. This role is critical to maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring timely shipments, and supporting overall warehouse efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing lists or purchase orders. Accurately enter data into inventory and shipping systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, or shipping platforms like UPS WorldShip or FedEx). Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling, packaging, and coordinating with carriers. Maintain organized records of received goods and shipped materials. Load and unload trucks using a hi-lo/forklift safely and efficiently. Coordinate with internal departments (production, customer service, purchasing) to ensure timely material flow. Conduct inventory counts and assist with cycle counts as needed. Identify and report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies immediately. Maintain a clean and orderly shipping/receiving area. Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety programs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and shipping software. Experience using inventory management or ERP systems is a plus. Valid forklift license and at least 1 year of hi-lo (forklift) driving experience required. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. v2XJhVHTW1
