Material Handling Specialist

Position Overview:

Responsible for receiving, putting away, and replenishing product. Duties include verifying and recording all transactions.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment.
• Complete online UPS register.
• Load and unload shipments using forklift and pallet jacks as needed.
• Complete repair evaluations of returned, damaged products.
• Incoming materials identified, inspected for damage or shortages, counted or weighed, and delivered or routed to storage location.
• Create receiving reports for all incoming items.
• Storage utilization / reorganization of product storage as needed.
• Inventory Flow - FIFO
• Provides material handling support to production group.
• Assist with physical inventories.
• Pre-package parts during down time.
• Safety and Housekeeping.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Education / Certification o High School diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge & Experience o 1-3 years' experience in shipping and receiving o 1-2 years' experience in the operation of Hi-Lo / Forklift. o Basic computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office Suite o Experience in ERP programs helpful. o Fluent in English and the ability to communicate effectively in English (both verbal and written)
• Personal Attributes o Ability to work independently after receiving instructions o Ability to maintain accurate inventory, shipping, receiving, and distribution records o Ability to deal with vendors and freight companies over the phone and in person o Requires strong organizational skills
• Other Skills / Abilities o Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
