Job Description:
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating the flow of incoming and outgoing materials, products, and supplies. This role ensures that shipments are processed accurately and efficiently, while maintaining proper records, inventory, and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists. Process outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, and preparing documentation. Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment. Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records in the system. Ensure materials are stored properly and organized within the warehouse. Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams regarding shipment status. Assist with cycle counts, stock checks, and inventory control activities. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Keep the shipping/receiving area clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards. Perform material handling job duties as needed. Education and/or
Work Experience Requirements:
Pre-employment Qualifications:
Pass pre-employment drug screen, acceptable background check results including criminal history and driving record, if necessary. Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Language Skills:
Individuals must have good written and oral communication skills.
Mathematical Skills:
Individuals must possess basic mathematical skills,
Reasoning Ability:
Individuals must possess problem-solving skills to successfully perform duties of a Quality Technician. Strong attention to detail is also required
Computer Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of shipping systems, fright carriers, and inventory software a plus Ability to read packing slips, bills of lading and shipping documentation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, experience with ERP/WMS software a plus.
