This position ensures materials and finished products are moved safely, accurately, and efficiently throughout the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against packing slips and purchase orders. Inspect incoming materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues promptly. Unload and load trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment. Pick, stage, package, label, and prepare products for customer shipment. Complete and maintain shipping and receiving documentation accurately. Transport raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods throughout the facility. Maintain inventory accuracy through proper transactions and inventory control practices. Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory activities. Organize and maintain warehouse, storage, and shipping areas. Follow customer-specific packaging and shipping requirements. Adhere to all company safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures. Support production needs and assist in other departments as required. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Minimum of two (2) years of shipping and receiving experience preferred. Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory systems, scanners, and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to read and interpret packing slips, bills of lading, work orders, and shipping documents. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regularly works in a production and shop environment with noise, dust and varying temperature. Frequent standing and walking for extended periods. Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Must be able to lift, carry or move items and equipment parts up to 50 pounds. Works around moving machinery and must follow all safety and lockout/tagout procedures. Ability to work overtime or flexible hours as needed to support production and customer requirements.
