Full-time About the Role Spec Tool Company, Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team. In this role, you'll oversee the efficient and accurate handling of all incoming and outgoing shipments, help manage inventory, and ensure compliance with shipping regulations and internal quality standards. This is a hands-on position requiring strong organizational and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments; allocate materials to appropriate areas Cross-check deliveries against purchase orders and invoices Conduct quality inspections on a minimum of 5% of received items Coordinate with the Quality Department to resolve overages, shortages, or damages Notify Production Manager of nonconforming materials and manage returns/replacements Prepare shipping labels, documents, and freight bookings Maintain and update inventory records in ERP system Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and annual inventories Maintain organized records of shipments and inventory activity Troubleshoot and resolve shipping or logistics issues Stay current on domestic and international shipping regulations Communicate with vendors, customers, and freight carriers Verify calibration of gauge equipment prior to use Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely Safely lift and handle items up to 50 lbs Follow all internal quality policies and documented procedures Perform other duties as assigned to support company goals Qualifications Experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics preferred Proficiency with ERP systems and inventory management tools Strong math, clerical, and organizational skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required Familiarity with warehouse operations and shipping documentation Experience with quality inspection procedures preferred Knowledge of Spec Tool products and warehouse layout is a plus About Spec Tool Company, Inc.: Located in Sparta, MI, Spec Tool Company is a leading manufacturer of specialized cutting tools, serving industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical, petroleum, and woodworking.
