Job Description

Position Role & Overview:
Warehouse personnel perform all domestic and international shipping and receiving functions in accordance with shipping requirements and specifications. They strive for 100% on time accurate shipments to our internal and external customers and dealers. They perform all requirements in an efficient and effective manner following prescribed practices, procedures or instruction. They move, store, pack, place, ship and receive material and product as directed. They monitor and track inventory striving for 100% inventory accuracy.
Primary Responsibilities:
Shipping & Receiving Pull and package parts and check all orders either on or before the required shipping date. If more orders are scheduled than can be packed in time to meet the shipping schedule, contact the Supervisor for assistance as soon as it is recognized. Work closely with Customer Service & purchasing Pack and Prepare accurate parcel shipping (UPS, DHL, FedEx, etc…), weigh each package and then place the correct postage on it using parcel computer systems. Record the shipping cost on each sales order so that the customer can be billed for the shipping charges Load & unload product onto freight carrier Make an actual count of all incoming and outgoing material by using either a weight count or an actual count. Receive all materials by following the receiving procedures set up and enter the information into the computer system Move, store and distribute all required material using hand trucks, pallet jacks, platform trucks, pallet dollies, forklift or overhead crane to transport material in a timely and efficient manner to the work in process areas. Package and label goods to customer specifications
General Warehouse :
Maintain inventory accuracy by making sure all paperwork is filled out correctly and that no parts are moved in or out of the warehouse locations without the proper paperwork. Conduct accurate cycle counts following the guidelines set up for these counts Notify Supervisor of any material shortages as found Complete all work orders on time using all the correct materials Must know how to operate forklift and pallet lifting equipment and have or be able to obtain a valid forklift driver's license Must be able to safely operate overhead crane/hoist and have the ability to become licensed in compliance with OSHA standards. Assemble and pack customer orders using the necessary packaging to ensure that the items packed will arrive at their destination in good condition. This includes both finished goods and parts Perform production work as required Maintain good housekeeping practices to include assisting with the removal of scrap by emptying scrap gondolas when they become full. This only applies to individuals who have a valid forklift license. Supplies production with raw material and retrieves finished goods Other tasks as directed by management Store material in assigned locations or seek guidance for deviation
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent 2-4 years of shipping/receiving experience preferred Experience driving a forklift and the ability to obtain a forklift driver's license Experience operating an overhead hoist or bridge crane and the ability to obtain a crane operator's license.
