Job Description

Compensation Pay Range:
$53,926.00 - $79,944.00 The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Responsible for directing the daily outbound operations of the shipping/loading department within a distribution center. Assist in ensuring compliance and productivity are maintained while providing leadership and guidance to team members.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist the Shipping/Loading Supervisor with the following job duties: Oversee all aspects of the shipping/loading department. Assist in ensuring that the department is compliant with company operations, policies, and procedures on a daily basis. Work with the operations and DC managers to maintain payroll figures, budgeting, productivity, etc. within the departments. Responsible for performing scheduled evaluations on team members. Provide leadership, training, and guidance throughout the department and work to ensure productivity and morale are maintained at a high level. Work with managers to establish annual goals and the plan to follow for accomplishing these goals. Work closely with the human resources supervisor and the operations manager to ensure effective recruiting, hiring, and training practices. Assist the operations and DC managers with planning to prepare annual capital expenditure listing for budgeting purposes. Work with operations and DC managers for approval on any expenditure for the department. Maintain safety standards while operating and identify unsafe practices and situations. All other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on customer service Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Ability to read and match numerical and alpha characters quickly and accurately Basic computer skills
Desired:
College degree or logistics certification 2+ years previous supervisory experience Completion of O'Reilly supervisor training program Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired) Advanced computer skills O'Reilly Auto Parts has a proven track record of growth and stability.
