Job Description

1st Shift Shipping Clerk $20-23/hr
Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:00
PM Environment:
Clean, well-lit warehouse Key Responsibilities Print and review daily shipping schedules and pick lists. Pick materials and products from inventory based on shipping orders. Assemble boxes and package products to ensure safe shipment and professional presentation. Verify shipment accuracy using checklists before release. Process shipments through carriers such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL, and freight providers. Select the most cost-effective shipping method when carrier instructions are not specified. Enter and maintain shipping information, including carrier details, ship dates, costs, and tracking numbers. Prepare kits and apply shipping labels. Generate reports and perform administrative tasks including data entry, filing, scanning, correspondence, and recordkeeping. Stage pallets for shipment and assist with truck loading as needed. Support receiving, inventory, and general warehouse functions when required. Communicate with sales, deployment, accounting, and other departments to resolve shipping-related issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Required Qualifications 1-3 years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience. Basic computer proficiency. Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods (approximately 50% of the shift). Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Work Environment Clean, secure, and well-lit warehouse facility. Electronics-restricted areas within portions of the operation. Combination of desk work, shipping documentation, order fulfillment, and warehouse activities. Frequent interaction with shipping carriers and internal departments. Requires standing, walking, lifting, packaging, and computer-based administrative work throughout the day. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chaska, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
