Job Decription:
The Shipping & Receiving Associate supports production by moving materials, preparing glass products for the coating line, and organizing shipments according to schedules and documentation requirements. This role ensures products are staged, packaged, and documented accurately while maintaining a safe, organized work environment. Key Responsibilities Review production schedules and supply the coating line with required glass. Move and stage racks, materials, and packaging according to workflow needs. Set up box‑closing areas and prepare products for shipment. Complete and attach all required paperwork to racks, A‑frames, and shipments. Coordinate shipping and receiving tasks, including staging, packaging, and inventory handling. Maintain accurate inventory and support ERP updates. Safely operate forklifts and material‑handling equipment when trained. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to prepare materials. Read and apply standard/metric measurements for sizing and packaging. Communicate with production and warehouse teams to maintain smooth material flow. Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures. Essential Skills Experience in shipping & receiving and inventory handling. Ability to operate or learn forklifts and material‑handling equipment . Strong organization, problem‑solving, and attention to detail. Ability to read and use measurement tools. Basic computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel). Commitment to safety and PPE requirements. Additional Requirements Must be 18+ and able to pass physical, and drug screening. ERP or logistics experience is a plus. Packaging or box‑closing experience is helpful. Willingness to obtain forklift certification if needed. Work Environment Production/warehouse setting handling glass products, racks, and packaging materials. Regular use of tools, measuring devices, forklifts, and basic computer systems. Safety gear (including steel‑toe boots) required at all times. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Northfield, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.05 - $24.05/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
