Job Title:
Shipping and Receiving Clerk Job Description The Shipping and Receiving Clerk oversees all finished goods entering and leaving the facility, ensuring that products are accurately received, properly stored, and shipped out on time. This role involves frequent use of forklifts and pallet jacks, regular inventory checks, computer-based inventory management, and hands-on packaging activities in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities Receive finished goods into the facility and verify accuracy against documentation. Prepare and package products for shipment, ensuring correct labeling and secure packing. Ship products out accurately by following shipping schedules, instructions, and documentation. Perform regular inventory checks to confirm that stock levels are accurate and up to date. Use warehouse management or inventory systems on a computer to check and update inventory levels. Operate forklifts, including bendi and Drexell forklifts, to move, load, and unload products safely. Use pallet jacks to transport materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse. Pick and stage orders according to shipping requirements and production needs. Handle materials safely and efficiently to support warehouse and manufacturing operations. Walk throughout the facility frequently to locate, move, and organize products. Lift boxes weighing between 1 and 35 pounds and place them in designated storage areas, including shelving accessed by an industrial ladder. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with facility guidelines. Essential Skills At least 2 years of forklift experience, specifically with bendi or Drexell forklifts. Proficiency operating forklifts and pallet jacks in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Ability to perform inventory checks and maintain accurate stock records. Competence using a computer to check and update inventory levels. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications. Experience in material handling, including picking, packing, and labeling products. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, controlled manufacturing environment. Capability to lift boxes weighing 1 to 35 pounds throughout the day and handle physical tasks such as walking and climbing an industrial ladder. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting. Plastics industry experience is a strong plus but not required. Experience as a machine operator or in related material handling roles. Attention to detail to ensure accurate shipping, receiving, and labeling. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Why Work Here? The position requires regular operation of forklifts, including bendi and Drexell models, as well as pallet jacks and standard warehouse equipment. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and efficiency while supporting high-volume material handling and shipping activities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
