A Shipping or Receiving Clerk tracks all incoming and/or outgoing shipments at a company facility and checks that shipment orders are filled correctly. Uses scanning equipment to track inventory. Works in receiving to check shipments that are primarily production materials or company supplies, or checks outgoing shipments of finished products.

Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
Answer and follow up on phone inquiries in a business oriented manner Greet visitors, drivers, and customers in a professional manner Maintain quality records and Mill Test Reports in accordance with Quality procedures Research and generate necessary paperwork for Service Center management Create and coordinate outbound and inbound paperwork for effective material movement Perform system stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy (SAP) Ensure inventory accuracy by reviewing documents from the floor are completed in accordance with SPS policy Maintain a clean and well organized office area Attend all scheduled safety, department, and company meetings as requiredPhysical & Work Requirements:
Office environment with occasional warehouse or yard exposure Facility is a multiple shift operation. Hours for this position are 8:00 am- 4:30 pm Monday
- Friday
- No weekends.
Required Background, Competencies & Expertise:
Understanding of SPS policies and procedures Detail-oriented and excellent observational skills Communication Customer orientation Problem solving Composure Teamwork Strong computer, tablet, scanner, or mobile device skills High School diploma or G.E.D.
