Liquid Soap Products is looking for a Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team in Kansas City, MO. This is a hands-on position responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing and shipping customer orders, maintaining accurate inventory, and helping keep our warehouse organized and operating efficiently. We're looking for someone who understands that getting the right product to the right place, accurately and on time, is critical to our customers and our business.
What You'll Do:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials, packaging, supplies, and other shipments. Pick, pack, label, and prepare small parcel/package shipments for customers. Prepare and stage palletized orders for LTL (Less Than Truckload) and FTL (Full Truckload) shipments. Coordinate loading and unloading of LTL and FTL freight. Verify quantities, products, lot information, addresses, and shipping documentation for accuracy. Prepare bills of lading, packing slips, labels, and other required shipping documentation. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment. Move raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility. Maintain accurate inventory locations and assist with cycle counts. Complete shipping and receiving transactions accurately and on time. Identify and communicate damaged materials, shortages, inventory discrepancies, or shipping issues. Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Customer Service, and other departments to keep materials and orders moving. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse. Follow all company safety procedures and operating standards. Assist with other warehouse and operational responsibilities as needed.
What We're Looking For:
Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing experience preferred. Small parcel/package shipping experience preferred. Experience preparing and processing LTL and FTL shipments preferred. Experience preparing bills of lading and freight documentation is a plus. Forklift experience strongly preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player. Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory and ERP systems. Experience with shipping software, scanners, carrier systems, or inventory systems is a plus. Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work on your feet throughout the shift. Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic. Someone who takes ownership and doesn't wait to be told every next step.
