Job Description

Job summary: We're looking for teammates who share our passion for creating equitable access to nutritious food and addressing the root causes and impact of hunger. The Receiving Staff will ensure that all functions of receiving and item identification are completed accurately and on a timely basis.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive all donated and purchased products in accordance with Harvesters receiving standards and procedures. Ensure accuracy of all receiving documents. Assist in resolving any discrepancies. Collect all documentation for inbound freight and accurately identify product on receiving documentation. Operate material handling equipment in a safe and secure manner. Assist with material handling equipment preventive maintenance. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and complies with
OSHA, SDS
standards, AIB, and Harvesters Safety and Sanitation policies. Ensure ALL pallets are down stacked to the proper height prior to receiving. Other duties as assigned This position functions in a warehouse environment and requires travel within the warehouse areas. It requires the use of general office equipment such as telephones, computers, calculators, fax and copiers and extensive walking across the warehouse and back and forth to the office. It requires lifting up to 50 pounds and lifting of 20 to 50 pounds approximately 30% of the time. Incumbent will spend 75% of the time in a warehouse environment, 25% of the time stationary, working at a computer terminal. This position requires comprehension of all Harvesters food safety policies and compliance with all food safety related procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience:
1-2 years in a warehouse experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills High School education or equivalent. Must have basic math, reading and writing skills. Tolerance of a wide range of temperatures Basic digital literacy skills Ability to be forklift certified, stand up forklift A dedication to the mission of Harvesters is crucial to the success of this position.
