•30 per hour based on experience Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Technician to join a busy manufacturing environment in Riverside, MO. This position will be responsible for receiving materials, picking and pulling orders, preparing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and safely moving materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities Receive and verify incoming deliveries, both physically and through computer systems Process outgoing shipments accurately, efficiently, and on schedule Pick, pull, stage, and move materials and finished products Support production employees by fulfilling material and order requests Load and unload materials and shipments using forklifts and other material-handling equipment Prepare finished products for shipment by verifying inventory, locations, and shipping requirements Build shipping crates as needed for large or finished equipment Move products between production, warehouse, and shipping areas Maintain accurate inventory records and update material locations Perform cycle counts and physical inventory as required Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies Assist with processing returns to suppliers Complete shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse documentation Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment Follow all company safety procedures and material-handling guidelines Identify opportunities to improve warehouse and material-flow processes Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED At least 2 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material-handling experience Previous forklift experience preferred Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred Familiarity with warehouse management or inventory management systems Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Understanding of inventory control and material flow Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent attention to detail Basic math skills Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team Ability to identify problems and assist with finding solutions Strong commitment to workplace safety Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including 8+ hours per day Frequently bend, kneel, squat, reach, climb, and move throughout the facility Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 60 pounds Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels Express Employment Professionals is one of the leading staffing companies in the United States and Canada.
