TK Elevator is looking for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join our team in Byhalia, MS Responsible for preparing orders for freight, sorting freight into subplants, express or parcel post shipments in accordance with shipping practices and requirements; assembles and check orders, packs and crates and attaches or stencils shipping instructions. Enter receiving slips into computer on any material delivered, make labels for each box. Stack on skids by which area material will be delivered.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Ensures that packing list or entered in; the computer, bills of lading, express receipts, and other systems as required Ability to manually load and unload trucks and freight cars when necessary Visually analyzes and insures correct weights of items on bills of lading and express tickets Ability to receive oral and written instructions and follow them through to completion Ability to accurately prepare daily shipping reports Receives and signs for materials, verifying count and description; enters receiving tickets; uses clerical knowledge to enter slips into the computer. Receives written and oral job assignments and instructions from supervisor. Uses the barcode system to enter and ship transactions. This includes the ability to operate scan guns, printers, and label machines. Receives the appropriate training and obtains certifications on the proper operation of overhead cranes and forklift. Maintains the appropriate overhead and forklift certifications. Ability to work shift work, overtime and weekend work as required Performs other assignments as required This is a safety sensitive position. Who we are looking forEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required One or more years work experience in a lean/continuous improvement environment preferred. Possess the ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends. General mechanical experience maintaining equipment preferred. General organizational and time management skills. Possess a basic knowledge of the manufacturing processes. Proficient written and oral communication skills essential for the role. Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to take initiative and anticipate needs, work independently with minimal guidance.
