Job Description

Summary:
The Materials Coordinator supports all Materials team functions while providing direction and leadership as needed. Additionally, the Coordinator strives to achieve and maintain consistency and accuracy in accordance with ConMet's Materials objectives.
What You Will Do:
  • Supports Shipping/Receiving, Purchasing, Cycle Counting, and Scheduling functions; provides backup coverage as needed while maintaining flexibility in work schedule
  • Trains for and performs the duties of Warehouse Material Handler, Cycle Counter, Clerk, and Scheduling roles
  • Communicates assignment and project status and escalates any unresolved issues to the department management
  • Maintains accurate finished goods inventory
  • Enters and reports all plant scrap transactions
  • Performs warehouse inventory and cycle counts and makes necessary corrections
  • Conducts monthly Orbis and DTNA packaging inventory
  • Conducts Volvo packaging inventory and maintains adequate Volvo packaging stock to support production
  • Maintains a safe working environment in the assigned area and helps ensure PPE compliance and hazard elimination
  • Adjusts warehouse storage areas to accommodate changing production and shipping needs, including PFEP Management
  • Actively participates in continuous improvement activities
  • Observes and obeys all company rules and regulations. Works safely and without injury.
  • Maintains prompt and regular attendance as scheduled

Be Successful:
  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • Minimum two years of related experience in a high-paced production environment.
