Shipping and Receiving - Furniture Ted Scott Designs High Point, NC Job Details Full-time $19 - $22 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Record keeping Computer operation Packing Moving Data entry Full Job Description Job Summary Shipping & Receiving Clerk We are seeking a dependable Shipping & Receiving Clerk whose primary responsibility will be carefully packaging furniture for shipment. Previous furniture packing or shipping experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Package and protect furniture for safe shipment Lift and maneuver large furniture pieces, including king-size headboards, into shipping boxes Accurately document each item in our computer system Receive, inspect and organize incoming supplies and materials Assist with unloading heavy deliveries Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, safe and organized Perform other shipping and warehouse duties as needed
Qualifications:
Positive, happy, can-do attitude that gets along with everyone Furniture packing or shipping experience preferred Comfortable using a computer for basic documentation Able to safely lift and maneuver large, heavy items—with assistance when appropriate Reliable, organized and attentive to detail Able to work efficiently as part of a team This is a hands-on position requiring regular lifting, standing, bending and moving throughout the workday. This job is a 4 day work week but can be extended to 5 days after training if that schedule works best for the candidate. Will work together with other clerks as a team in packing most items but may be required to do some work alone.
Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
