Full Job Description Description:
Position Summary Polyhose Inc., a leading global manufacturer of hydraulic hoses, industrial hoses, fittings, and fluid conveyance systems, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Associate to join our Wilmington, NC team. This position is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping outgoing orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities Accurately pick, pack, and stage customer orders for shipment Prepare shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing slips, and labels Verify product quantities and part numbers prior to shipment Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (certification preferred) Load and unload trucks as needed Coordinate with customer service and warehouse teams to ensure timely order fulfillment Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage Maintain a clean and organized shipping area Follow company safety policies and OSHA guidelines Assist with cycle counts and inventory control as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 1+ year of shipping or warehouse experience preferred Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems is a plus Forklift experience preferred (or willingness to obtain certification) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Strong attention to detail and accuracy Basic computer skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Work Environment Warehouse setting with moderate to heavy physical activity Exposure to varying temperatures depending on season Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
