Job Description
Overview Responsible for the proper receiving of all building materials, millwork manufacturing products, commercial door products and Kitchens. Responsibilities Greeting and acknowledging all vendors and customers in a friendly professional manner. Provide quick and accurate response to customers. Must be able to work in a fast- passed environment while handling multiple tasks. Organization and upkeep of all functions and paperwork related to receiving. Maintain a clean and safe receiving area including loading and trash areas and keep storage areas neat, clean and orderly. Advise buyers of shortages, damages and back-orders. Make sure all merchandise is received by the end of the day. Ensure proper paperwork for return goods and that they are closed out. Maintains appropriate conformance with company safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Preform other related duties as assigned by management. Act as a group leader for receiving and staff directing work assignments as needed. Experience In-depth knowledge of lumber, construction principles and related supplies. Current license to operate forklifts; or ability to train to get a forklift certification. Physical ability to move product. Good communication skills. A positive, professional and collaborative work style with the ability to adapt to growth and change.
