In addition, this role involves operating and managing professional printing equipment, producing high-quality print jobs, and demonstrating the ability to quickly learn and master new printing technologies. The Printing / Shipping Agent advises customers with confidence, offering accurate information about our wide range of products, printing services, and best-value solutions, while upholding industry best practices and company standards. Responsibilities Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries Continuously practices active listening and effective communication with customers, ShipNYC Store team members, and leadership Takes ownership of each customer's shipping and printing needs, offering accurate information and viable solutions Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots professional printing equipment to produce high-quality print jobs Assists customers with expert boxing and packaging, recommending and selling appropriate products to ensure safe and efficient shipping Receives, sorts, and distributes USPS, UPS, and FedEx mail accurately to customer boxes Demonstrates initiative in learning all product and service offerings, including printing, shipping, and packaging solutions, as well as current industry trends Provides prompt, efficient service and expertise in shipping, mailing, and printing operations Prepares and verifies completed documentation for shipping and related transactions Assists with additional center services, including faxing, scanning, copying, mailboxes, notarial services, and printing support Maintains and organizes a clean, safe, and efficient working environment Performs other duties as assigned to support overall store operations Education/Training High school diploma or GED required 1 year of hands-on printing experience Preferred Experience Shipping experience desired but not required Notary experience desired but not required Required Traits Strong communication and people skills Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math Able to operate a wide variety of business equipment Prompt, reliable, and responsible Physical Requirements Able to lift 50+ pounds Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. With appropriate equipment, and/or assistance from another person. Able to help customers with boxing and packaging their materials Other At no cost to themself, the employee must be willing to study and become notary certified by the state of New York during the first month of employment.
Pay:
From $21.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
