Shipping/Receiving Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving Associate to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring timely delivery of products. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality. Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and labeling correctly. Maintain accurate records of all shipments and inventory movements. Coordinate with carriers and freight companies to schedule pickups and deliveries. Ensure compliance with safety and shipping regulations. Assist in inventory management, including stock counts and organization. Operate forklifts or other equipment as needed to move goods safely. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in logistics is a plus. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
