Job Description
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk - Temp is responsible for picking, packing, labeling, and processing outbound shipments using the shipping terminal & warehouse management software. This position will also support receiving inbound deliveries, put away responsibilities, and supporting the production department as needed.
Job Duties:
Interpret pick lists rapidly and accurately, finds and picks parts accurately.
Builds shipment by packaging and labeling various groups of parts properly to ensure they are not damaged during shipping.
Pack, wrap, and label items appropriately for shipment
Data entry in inventory & warehouse systems
Move & relocate warehouse stock as needed.
Handle material for recycling - bundle cardboard, sort electronics, or other requirements
Operate warehouse equipment - forklifts, pallet jacks, stretch warp machine, etc. following all safety guidelines.
Processes shipment completely and stages for pick-up.
Follows proper inventory procedures and policies at all times.
Assist in warehouse clean-up and reconfiguring, as requested.
Participates in physical inventory count & perform cycle counts.
Assist Hard Tags as needed.
Meet all safety requirements with 0 incidents.
Ensure the compliance with the Quality Management System.
Support / Backup
other warehouse functions as needed. Other duties as assigned by manager.
Education:
High school diploma or FED equivalent
Experience:
Three (3) years' experience shipping all types of parcel, LTL, TL and international shipments.
Two (2) years' experience operating forklift.
Computer proficiency, including data entry.
Experience with various warehouse equipment preferred (forklift, pallet jack, stretch wrapper).
Prefer Work experience in a facility utilizing Warehouse Management System (SAP).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Basic math aptitude.
Good communication skills.
Detail oriented to maintain inventory accuracy.
Ability to safely operate forklift, battery and propane.
Problem solving skills.
Ability to understand the SAP system and learn the system.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Team player who can work with others to perform day to day responsibilities.
