Why This Role Matters As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you are the backbone of our supply chain. From receiving raw materials to preparing finished goods for shipment, your attention to detail and organization ensures product integrity, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery. What You'll Do Safety First Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions immediately Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment Maintain a clean and hazard-free warehouse environment Shipping & Receiving Prepare and stage outgoing shipments (LTL, UPS, and truckload) Stretch wrap, label, and organize pallets for shipment Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials Verify product accuracy against shipping documents Complete freight logs, quality checks, and receiving documentation Ensure all shipments are approved prior to release Inventory & Organization Store raw materials and finished goods in proper locations Maintain a clean, organized warehouse (including routine cleaning) Pull materials for production as needed Perform inventory counts and reconciliation Equipment & Systems Inspect warehouse equipment and report any issues Use warehouse management systems and handheld scanners for tracking Maintain documentation for equipment and inventory What We're Looking For Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Basic math and counting skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Good communication and teamwork skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Comfortable using computers and warehouse systems Proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues before they arise Flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the shift Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to push/pull up to 75-100 lbs (with equipment assistance) Frequent reaching, bending, and handling tasks Why Join Pelton Shepherd Industries?
