Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Order Processor to join our dynamic warehouse and distribution team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately processing customer orders, managing inventory movements, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. This role plays a vital part in maintaining efficient warehouse operations, supporting e-commerce activities, and delivering exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, experience with warehouse management systems, and a proactive approach to logistics and shipping procedures. Duties Receive and review incoming customer orders via various channels, including RF scanners and warehouse management systems. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment using order pickers, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and forklifts as needed. Operate warehouse equipment such as reach trucks and forklifts safely to load and unload goods. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms to track inventory levels, update order statuses, and manage stock movements. Ensure accurate order fulfillment by verifying quantities, product specifications, and packaging requirements. Prepare shipments by selecting appropriate packaging materials and labeling packages according to shipping standards. Coordinate with shipping & receiving teams to load trucks efficiently and ensure timely dispatch. Conduct stock replenishment activities including stocking shelves and managing inventory levels in the warehouse. Assist with inventory counts, stock adjustments, and reconciling discrepancies using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems. Maintain accurate records of all transactions related to order processing, shipping, and receiving. Support warehouse distribution processes by optimizing storage solutions and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve order issues or discrepancies promptly. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse operations, distribution centers, or related roles with familiarity in warehouse management systems. Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners. Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with order fulfillment best practices. Strong understanding of inventory management principles including stocking, picking & packing procedures. Basic math skills for verifying quantities and calculating measurements. Familiarity with e-commerce order processing workflows is preferred. Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely following safety protocols. Experience with AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as MRPs is advantageous. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills for coordinating across departments.
