Shipping and Receiving Clerk I Legrand AV, Inc. parental leave, paid time off, 401(k) United States, Ohio, Independence May 19, 2026 Shipping and Receiving Clerk I Location US-OH-Independence # Positions 2 Category Logistics / Transportation Position Description At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk I to join the Data Center Power& Control Team in Independence, OH. The Shipping/Receiving Clerk fills an important role within the Operations department, ensuring the superior on-time delivery that our customers rely on. They are responsible for ensuring all product is accurately received, packaged and shipped to the proper location, as well as keeping the warehouse organized. They partner with the Customer Experience and Procurement teams to resolve issues in a timely manner and keep orders flowing smoothly. Attention to detail, number sequences, descriptions, quantities, and reliability are critical to this position. What Will You Do?
Main Job Duties:
Schedules Incoming shipments to ensure delivery by promised deadlines. Receives orders and assigns shipments to appropriate carriers. Assists procurement with purchase order status inquiries and special supplier needs. Resolves delivery problems. Analyzes inventory procedures; recommends updates and improvements to warehouse manager Performs other related duties as assigned and assists with warehouse responsibilities.
Qualifications Required Skills Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
0-2 years of prior warehouse, production, assembly, shipping or receiving experience preferred
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Motivated, detail oriented and reliable Data entry and Microsoft Excel proficiency Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment General computer knowledge (experience with ERPs is a plus) Good communication skills (written and verbal) Able to follow instructions from Manager, Supervisor and Team Leads Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 40lbs Company Info About Legrand Legrand is the global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures.
