Job Description

Summary:
A Shipping & Receiving Associate needed for manufacturer in Lancaster, Ohio to become a vital part of their logistics team. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who are eager to learn, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are committed to accuracy, safety, and teamwork. You'll be trained in key operational systems and equipment, and cross-trained across shipping and receiving functions to support the smooth flow of goods in and out of our facility.
Key Responsibilities Receiving Duties:
Operate forklifts (certification provided) Use Oracle-Receiving module to process incoming goods Unload, verify, and document raw material deliveries Organize and transport materials to designated storage areas
Shipping Duties:
Operate hand scanners and label printers Prepare Bills of Lading (BOLs) with accurate freight classifications Load outbound shipments Maintain shipping equipment and supplies
General Duties:
Perform equipment inspections and minor maintenance Participate in inventory counts and Lean projects Ensure safety compliance and proper use of PPE Support cross-training and departmental flexibility This is a temp-to-direct, full-time position, hiring immediately. There is first and second shift available. The schedule for first is Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM and second is Monday through Thursday, 2:30 PM to 1 AM. Rate of pay is in the range of $22.88 to $23.28. If hired on directly, full benefits are offered, including health insurance. Skills & Qualifications Basic computer and calculator proficiency Strong math skills (including fractions and tape measure reading) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the day Effective communication in English (verbal and written) Prior forklift experience Ideal Traits Positive, cooperative, and respectful attitude Self-motivated and dependable Detail-oriented and safety-conscious Flexible and able to adapt to changing schedules Team player with leadership potential
Pay:
$22.88 - $23.28 per hour
