Job Title:
Customer Pick-Up Warehouse Representative Job Summary:
The Customer Pick Up Warehouse Representative is responsible for efficiently and safely handling the picking, staging, and loading of customer merchandise. This role involves using inventory systems, coordinating with customers, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining an organized warehouse environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Utilize the Inventory/ERP system to prepare, pull, stage, and load customer merchandise. Verify, wrap, and prepare sold furniture for customer pickup. Communicate with customers through verbal and written channels to schedule pickup appointments. Operate in strict adherence to OSHA standards for safety. Cultivate a safety-first approach in all warehouse operations. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, keeping the warehouse floor free from debris. Achieve company-defined productivity benchmarks. Fulfill any additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Prior experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Storis is a plus. Proficiency in using RF Scanners. Understanding of warehouse bin layouts to enhance efficiency. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Availability to work extended hours, if required. Previous forklift experience is advantageous. Exceptional attention to detail is essential. Self-motivated with a proactive work ethic.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required (Associate's degree preferred). Minimum of 2 years' experience in general warehouse and/or customer service.
Work Schedule:
Friday - Tuesday 8 am- 4:30 pm
Working Conditions:
Requirement for weekend shifts. Potential for overtime based on operational demands. Work primarily occurs within a warehouse setting, with limited outdoor exposure during work hours. Use of standard office equipment and warehouse tools, including Tow Motors and Pallet Jacks.
Physical Requirements:
Regular use of hands for manipulation tasks. Lifting and moving objects ranging from 50 to 150+ lbs. Regular standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and occasional sitting, climbing, or balancing. Essential vision abilities encompass close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
