Job Summary:

The Pricing and Receiving Assistant works with all members of the Pricing/Receiving Department in order to best maintain pricing integrity throughout individual stores and together as a company.

Required availability:

Monday-Saturday from 6:30am - 4pm. The Assistant will be scheduled 3-4 days per week.

Job Responsibilities:

Data entry of new items, price changes, sales, and allowances using the store's pricing software Hang weekly sale tags and TPR (temporary price reduction) tags one day per week and as needed throughout the week Assist the Pricing/Receiving Coordinator in the general maintenance of the store's pricing database as well as the online ordering database Verify all pricing information for accuracy, resolve pricing discrepancies, and update cost and retails as needed Work with department managers to provide any necessary pricing information; generate report on sales, which may include movement reports for holidays or special events Work closely with department managers and vendors in a professional manner to meet business needs Create and maintain signage throughout the store, ensuring products and displays are labeled with correct retail, package size, and effective date Coordinate service calls in the event of issues with pricing software Serve as back-up receiver by checking in vendors with store deliveries and processing invoices electronically Provide Pricing/Receiving coverage at our Maumee, OH location as directed by management Assist with other pricing projects as needed

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma/GED Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Word Experience in a grocery retail environment, preferred Previous data entry experience, preferred Comfortable troubleshooting printers, computers, etc. Comfortable working with the public and greeting, speaking with, and assisting customers

Physical Requirements:

Work day will consist of prolonged periods of time, both sitting at a desk and walking Frequent instances of bending and reaching Must be able to read small print on a frequent basis Prolonged periods of working on a computer Must be able to frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds Ability to travel between store locations for coverage as needed
