Shift:
1st Shift, 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday (OT on Saturdays)
Rate:
$20.00-$25.00
Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receiving Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the efficient management of incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. Your expertise will support seamless warehouse operations, optimize inventory flow, and enhance customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse management skills, proficiency with logistics software, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
Unload and unpack incoming shipments, ensuring proper handling and storage. Compare packing lists and purchase orders to ensure accuracy of deliveries, noting any discrepancies or damage. Update inventory records, maintain accurate stock levels, and ensure items are stored in designated areas. Inspect goods for damage or defects and report any issues to the appropriate parties. May be responsible for packaging products for return to vendors or for outbound shipments. Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures. Operate a forklift in a safe manner, wrap skids and move materials to location. Regularly exposed to food-grade fumes or airborne particles. Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required with a minimum 1-year experience in warehousing/manufacturing environment preferred Must be able to frequently lift to 50 pounds In-house fork truck certification is required Forklift operation skills preferred Must have high volume receiving experience Basic math, reading, recordkeeping, and PC skills Strong communication skills Ability to perform routine work assignments, multi-tasking and following instructions with moderate supervision; ability to work well under pressure Ability to understand work procedures, methods, use of required equipment and computerized work instructions •
