Job Details Description Summary A Receiving Associate I is responsible for receiving and sorting incoming shipments of goods while ensuring that product arrives in full and in good condition. They will promote a work culture that represents the organization's vison, mission, and values. Essential Functions Safely unload incoming material and separate freight by supplier and or product type Open and sort freight Receive product into the computer system accurately Perform quality checks on all incoming product Label Product Use an RF scanner to receive and move material Safely move finished receipts to material handling area by skid type Support safety/housekeeping procedures and OSHA requirements Other duties as assigned to achieve necessary customer service goals Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and nonverbal Problem solving skills Basic computer/data entry skills (Warehouse Management Systems) Basic math skills Product knowledge preferred Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent Blueprint reading experience preferred Work Environment This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role may routinely use equipment such as scanners, forklifts, utility knives, ladders, machinery, and tape guns. Employees may be exposed to bright lighting, blue light (i.e., computer screens), repetitive low to mid volume sounds (i.e., forklift traffic, packaging machines, etc.), warm and cool temperatures, and various metals and plastics. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly standing. The employee will need to have the ability to move and lift up to 70 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. This job will require the ability to push, pull, stoop, crouch, kneel, and reach when necessary.
