Experience Requirements Previous shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred Knowledge of shipping procedures and documentation preferred Basic computer skills and experience using inventory or shipping systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Job Duties Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment Generate shipping labels and maintain shipping records using computer systems Verify order accuracy, package contents, and shipping information Receive and process incoming shipments and route materials appropriately Coordinate with warehouse personnel to stage and prepare orders for pickup Maintain a clean and organized shipping area and inventory of supplies Communicate shipment status and resolve delivery or order discrepancies Preferred Qualifications Previous experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanners, or inventory software is preferred. Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment is beneficial. Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, or order fulfillment is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate dependability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are well positioned for success as a Shipping Clerk. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or clerical work preferred. Familiarity with UPS shipping procedures, package handling, and shipping documentation is beneficial. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn shipping, inventory, and order-processing software. Strong attention to detail when entering information, verifying addresses, and preparing customer orders. Ability to read and understand shipping labels, packing slips, purchase orders, and work instructions. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to lift and move packages and warehouse materials as required. Ability to work independently while also communicating effectively with warehouse and office personnel. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain an orderly work area. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely load, unload, and organize products in a warehouse environment. What You Will Do As a Shipping Clerk you will receive incoming shipments, inspect materials, prepare outbound orders, verify inventory, organize warehouse stock, complete shipping and receiving documentation, and help maintain accurate inventory records. You will safely move products throughout the warehouse while supporting efficient shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment operations. Process and prepare daily UPS shipments by accurately picking, packing, labeling, and documenting customer orders for timely delivery. Verify shipping information, addresses, quantities, and package contents to ensure orders are accurate and meet UPS shipping requirements. Generate shipping labels and paperwork using computer-based shipping and inventory systems while tracking outgoing packages and resolving discrepancies. Coordinate with warehouse personnel to locate products, stage completed orders, and ensure packages are ready for scheduled UPS pickups. Inspect packages for proper packaging and secure contents to prevent damage during transportation. Receive and process incoming UPS shipments, checking packages against documentation and directing products to the appropriate warehouse locations. Maintain an organized shipping area and ensure supplies such as boxes, labels, packing materials, and shipping documents remain readily available. Communicate with customers, drivers, and internal departments regarding shipment status, delivery issues, damaged packages, or order discrepancies. Follow company safety procedures and maintain accurate records while working efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. A Shipping Clerk helps keep warehouse operations running efficiently by coordinating the receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of products.
