Shipping and Receiving Clerk at Snapon Shipping and Receiving Clerk at Snapon in Willoughby, Ohio Posted in 13 days ago. $23.00 - $27.00 per hour Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team at Norbar Torque Tools, a division of Snap-on Incorporated, as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring the timely delivery of products to our customers and the proper storage and handling of received goods. Pay rate $23-27 per hour
Responsibilities Receiving:
Unload incoming deliveries, verifying quantities and condition against packing slips and purchase orders. Receive and process incoming goods for service department work. Report any discrepancies or damages to designated personnel. Properly store received goods, maintaining accurate inventory records.
Shipping:
Pick and pack orders based on customer requests and shipping instructions. Weigh and measure packages to determine appropriate shipping methods and costs. Prepare and print shipping labels, ensuring accurate and compliant documentation. Schedule pick-ups with carriers and track outgoing shipments.
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory levels, identifying and reporting any discrepancies or shortages. Assist with inventory control procedures, including cycle counts and stock takes. Organize and maintain a clean and safe work environment in the shipping and receiving area.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to ensure smooth and timely deliveries. Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all shipping and receiving activities. Act as primary backup for the warehouse/ops manager. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a shipping and receiving or related warehouse environment (preferred). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to lift and maneuver moderate weights (up to 50 lbs). Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
