Essential Responsibilities/Activities:
Prepare accurate shipping reports for Accounting on a daily basis. Must look up freight costs on e-shipping for each order. Heavy data entry required on daily basis. Accuracy of data is critical. Must professionally communicate via telephone and e-mail with internal and external customers. Job duties must be performed at the facility. Must possess analytical problem-solving abilities. Accurate sorting and filing of documents is required. Establish and follow processes to ensure correct paperwork is completed timely and per shipping requirements. Must be detail-oriented and accurate with forms and numbers. Must demonstrate a sense of urgency and initiative in dealing with shipping paperwork. Must be flexible and able to perform several functions at once, including dock work. 13. Must perform job duties in timely manner.
Other Responsibilities/Activities:
Must assist at front counter when needed. Must be attentive to all customer needs as necessary. Maintain SOP Handbook.• Act as Administrative Assistant to Parts, Warranty & Shipping.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse environment is preferred but not required. Forklift, Manlift, and Tractor certification may be required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry. Good communication skills Attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational skills. Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment.
Work Environment:
Ability to lift and move objects up to 50lbs. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time. Work environment may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and temperatures, loud noises, dirt, chemical fumes, sharp metal objects and heavy forklift traffic.
