NW Portland and Hillsboro, Hiring Across 2 Sites Currently Paying - $22-25/hr. Shift - 8-4:30pm Monday - Friday Job Description This role supports a bonded third‑party logistics warehouse that provides warehousing, distribution, and transportation services for a diverse customer base. As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate loading, unloading, handling, and movement of customer products throughout the facility, with a particular focus on servicing two high‑value customer accounts. You will work with various types of forklifts, manage inbound and outbound freight, and help maintain precise inventory and documentation in a high‑touch, high‑value item division. Responsibilities Operate sit-down, stand-up, and reach forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload products. Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks, ensuring products are handled safely and correctly. Receive, inspect, and accurately document incoming shipments, including verifying counts, product identification, and lot numbers. Capture and maintain detailed data records, including photos, serial numbers, and bagging/tagging identification for high-value items. Stage and prepare customer orders for shipment according to established procedures and timelines. Transfer product directly from inbound trailers to outbound shipments when operational needs require cross-docking. Maintain inventory accuracy by confirming proper product locations and updating records as needed. Use MS Office applications such as Outlook and Excel, and work within the Extensiv warehouse management system (WMS) once trained. Utilize RF scanners and related warehouse technology to track and manage inventory and shipments. Essential Skills Warehouse experience preferred, with exposure to shipping, receiving, and inventory handling. Experience operating sit-down, stand-up, and reach forklifts in a warehouse environment is preferred. Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and managing multiple tasks efficiently. Capability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems, such as Extensiv WMS, is preferred. Comfort using MS Office applications, including Outlook and Excel, for communication and data tracking. Why Work Here? You will work in a secure facility designed for high-value inventory, with clearly defined storage areas and active loading docks. The environment is fast-paced and physically active, requiring frequent movement, lifting, and operation of forklifts and other equipment. Safety procedures are emphasized, and work areas are kept organized and compliant with regulations to support efficient and reliable operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hillsboro, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
