Process of reviewing documents related to or creating, updating and/or maintaining all records and documentation associated with daily Shipping, Trucking and Import/Export activities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Load and unload inbound and outbound freight using forklift or Combi (must be certified or able to obtain certification within 90 days; training provided).
- Receive and verify all incoming shipments; complete and sign receiving logs.
- Maintain shipping and receiving files, including scrap logs and other required documentation.
- Create delivery documents and post load plans (training provided as needed) What will make you successful?
Job Requirements:
- Forklift/Combi certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
- Basic math and counting skills with frequent interruptions.
- English communication skills (including telephone use).
- Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) U.S. Department of Transportation and Motor Carrier rules and regulations.
- Ability to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Oracle; can learn on the job).
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to take on new tasks.
- Knowledge of Shipping/Receiving practices.
